The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service position established for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and increase website entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
